See Mother Goose Time in Action

Reviews by Homeschoolers

Christine Santos, New York:
“I love knowing that all of my lessons are planned out perfectly, that all of the supplies and how much we need of them are there. I also really utilize and enjoy the “assess” and “reflect” parts of the book. This has made homeschooling enjoyable fun and attainable for me and my multi age household!”
Tracy Swanborough, www.dandelioninherhair.blogspot.com, Oregon:
“The number one (benefit, in my opinion) is the ease of use. Many families who homeschool and have older children find their youngest one missing out just because they don’t have time. So when they discover MGT they are thrilled that they can easily do school with their littlest and they feel included. The other part that is great is the unit study. A few of the homeschool families are doing MGT as a whole family, up to 3rd grade. Then they add to it for those in older grades, like adding reading related to the unit and more science. The daily arts and crafts and other tools are also a big deal. They are such a great way to get kids to learn and build those fine motor skills but of course it’s hard to get the ideas and supplies all together to do it on your own.The ease of adapting is another pro. You can easily make everything work for wide age range like I mentioned in the previous comment. So it’s great to use for families with multiple ages.

The manipulatives are another big bonus this year. After one year of MGT you have practically all the manipulatives you will need for this year and many more years to come. So it’s a great way to stock your schoolroom.”

“I used MGT years ago and am just starting back up using the curriculum after working for MGT smile emoticon I can’t wait! We homeschool our boys and I’m re-opening my daycare. What I have loved about the curriculum is that although it’s designed for preschoolers all ages can enjoy it. I have simplified lessons for little ones not quite ready to do the activities in full and build challenges onto the theme for the older students. My boys who are 7&8 love the crafts and then learn deeper about the subject (such as a craft about the animal they will write a research report about that animal as well…). Can’t wait to share our experience as we start up again soon!”
Lauren Hebert, www.tribaljournal.tumblr.com, Maine:
“What I like best is that it reduces excess in my house. I used to be a preschool teacher at a center, and we had a huge closet filled with every craft supply you could imagine. At home, that’s just not realistic (or cost effective!). It’s great to have all of my craft supplies in the EXACT proportions delivered to my home! No more buying 1000 cotton balls for one small project smile emoticon. We use every piece of our box, no more/no less… That’s my favorite part!”
Kris Bagley, www.bookwishes.wordpress.com, Idaho:
“As a homeschooler, I love the Mother Goose Time curriculum the best. I love how I how I can adapt it to my style of homeschooling. I read the Teacher’s Guide and have a great guideline -I can do as much or as little as I want. I love the cost – when I put my preschoolers and kinder together for my other kids I would spend more. You could never put together this kind of curriculum on your own, for the price, as a homeschooler.I also love the different themes and how adaptable they are. Super easy for me! And I love how my daughter loves it. She really learns. It’s not just a craft you put together or a puzzle. There is real learning going on.”

“The Lesson Plan is a great guide. Save your time running around gathering curriculum (materials) and start enjoying your children!”

“The ease of use and simple layout of the lesson plans for the teachers is my #1 favorite thing about the Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum! I love how planned out each activity is and how everything is as simple as gathering a few supplies from a list and opening the daily package. It makes homeschooling a toddler easy because I have time for school, house chores, family AND a life! I’d say my second favorite feature is the quantity and quality of the activities and materials that are sent with each month! I especially like the Little Goose supplement because it gives me options and ideas of other things to do when an activity is too difficult for my two year old.”
Erin Ziest, http://1dayathome.blogspot.com, Maine:
“ I love that the lessons are laid out for you and that each day has its own bag so everything is easy to find. I use it with my 2 and 6 year old and the supplements make it so easy to get both girls involved in the lessons. It’s so nice that everything is included so I don’t have to go out to the store (we live 40 minutes from the nearest traffic light so there are not a lot of stores for me to run to and pick up supplies) I also don’t wind up with lots of leftovers that I have to find a place for, which is what happens when you have to buy stuff individually for crafts.”“I’ve been using Mother Goose Time with my girls for 3 months so far. They were almost 2 and almost 6 when I started. I’m so impressed with this curriculum. The girls are so excited when I say it’s time for school. My older one begs to do more once the lessons are done.Mother Goose Time offers a complete curriculum with a different theme every month. Included in your first box is the welcome kit, which has the materials needed to complete a display to use every month. It’s where the girls can track the letters, numbers, shape, color and virtue of the month. Every month includes a teachers guide, planning journal, calendar, music CD, manipulatives, and so much more. For the kids there are make and take books, journals, craft material and basically everything else you need to complete the 20 days worth of lessons. They really thought of everything when they put this together. I also love that there are add ons available to customize the curriculum to your individual needs. For my 6 year old there are the more math and more literature activity books, which help her get extra practice. For my 2 year old there is the little goose teacher guide, which is used to adapt the activities and make them easier for a toddler to participate in. We also get the dance ‘n beats dvd, which my girls love. My 6 year old is great at math and is able to read fairly well.

She knows her colors, shapes, letters and numbers but the lessons are so interactive and fun that she doesn’t mind getting extra reinforcement on these topics. It’s a great curriculum for younger kids, but by expanding on the lessons a little bit and going more in depth on the topic of the day it has worked great with my older daughter. The most important thing to me is that the kids both love it. Learning is made fun.

“Like others have said, the lesson organization is fantastic. It’s so helpful to have it already there in the manual (one less thing to do when you’re juggling school and home activities). I also like the hints for how to simplify or challenge the kids on some of the lessons.”
Jane Black:
“I love Mother Goose Time preschool curriculum. This is my first year to use it – but every month I am more impressed. As an educator myself, I thought I would put together my own curriculum as I started homeschooling my two children this year. But after hearing from a friend of mine that Mother Goose Time was more than a bunch of crafts and projects but a truly well thought-through, research-based program, I decided to give it a try. I couldn’t believe all the creative projects, art supplies, and professional children’s music that was included. The lesson plan book is very well written and easy to follow. Each day is a different topic…For example if the month is all about Trees, one day we focus on leaves, another day on birds living in the trees. The art is open-ended so both my younger and older child can successfully participate. Everything is so hands-on and I love the folder game that comes every month. We’ve saved them and play them in the evenings as a family.I’ve researched many various curriculum resources and this is the most comprehensive and affordable for the quality it offers.”
Carol Bright, www.azalwayslearning.blogspot.com, California:
“The ease of it like everyone else has mentioned. but I also love that it can be mobile. we take MGT outside all the time. it doesn’t have to be done in the same place everyday. Also, that i can adjust activities, add-on to them or not do things depending on what i think will fit the kids attitudes/interests.”
Kelly Schultz, California:
“The lesson plan is a great guide. Save your time running around gathering curriculum and start enjoying your children.”
Amanda, Ohio:
“I thought Mother Goose Time was designed for the family home day care environment but I have found it easily adaptable to use with my 3 year old son. He loves the activities and crafts and I love the convenience of a pre-packaged curriculum. Each month has a theme and they send you a box with a day-by-day curriculum guide and materials needed to complete each days activities. One of the things I love about Mother Goose Time is the convenience. Everything is laid out for me. Of course I have basic supplies like glue, construction paper and crayons, but the less commonly used supplies (yarn, googly eyes, etc.) are provided by Mother Goose Time. Each day’s materials are individually packaged and put in the box in chronological order so that when I take out today’s packet, tomorrow’s is right on top! They really have taken all the guesswork out of preschooling my child!”
Margaret E. M. Moon, California:
“Thank you for creating such a fantastic curriculum and product. My family is moving to Germany … after we are moved in and settled, I would like to resume Mother Goose Time. Thank you for your great quality educational materials.”
Erin Ziest, http://1dayathome.blogspot.com, Maine:
“We just finished up our fifth month using Mother Goose Time, which is a complete preschool curriculum. And when I say complete, I mean complete. Each month comes with a music CD, book, manipulatives, craft materials, science experiments, snack ideas, detailed lesson plans, and so much more. My girls have been loving the activities and can’t wait to “do school” everyday. I love the ease of this program. There is a gathering list supplied every month so once you get household items together like paints, magazines, etc. all you have to do is open your day bag and you’re ready to go. Instead of trying to find ideas from pinterest and then spending time running around gathering the needed materials, I have time to spend with my girls. I also like that when a craft needs googly eyes the number I need are provided. I don’t have to waste money buying bags of craft supplies just for one piece, and I don’t have to worry about where to store all the leftovers. Mother Goose Time comes up with things I wouldn’t normally have thought of or tried and frequently it’s these simple ideas that my girls love the most, like taping solar system orbits on the floor for them to follow or putting bubble mix in a pan for them to make bubbles with.I love watching my girls learn and grow. With all the open ended questions Mother Goose Time asks it’s easy to gauge how much they’re learning and the fun lessons make it so much easier for them to retain the information. The monthly box for August even came with a baseline assessment so you can actually measure your child’s progress throughout the year.

“I just have to get something off my chest: seriously, I don’t know what I’d do without Mother Goose Time. Just thinking of planning each day out by myself (on top of EVERYTHING else I have to accomplish each day) and wasting money on more supplies than I’d actually be using gives me a headache. It would take hours upon hours of pinteresting, planning and coordinating to come up with anything CLOSE to this level of education and fun! (I mean, you just have to see everything that’s included in a box…it’s nuts!)”
Maria Flanigan, https://peaceinthemayhem.wordpress.com, Georgia:
“Once the excitement from the beautiful new posters, perfectly organized lessons and enticing new manipulatives subsided, I am pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive content of Mother Goose Time. This program is truly adaptable to a wide variety of ages and learning styles. It requires little prep work from the parent/teacher and provides the necessary materials to complete most of the lessons. The few supplies that are not included are typical household items and listed in a convenient checklist for your review, before the month begins.

I am blessed with two incredibly smart little ones who have very different passions, goals, and means of achieving them. One is very motivated by the traditional academics and the other prefers to focus more on mastery of practical life skills. Numerous hours were spent researching curriculums, sampling free curriculums, and even purchasing two curriculums before settling on Mother Goose Times (MGT). It seemed an impossible task to find one curriculum that could address their different interests and abilities of my preschoolers until delving into the daily lessons of MGT. … I am fully equipped to provide an enriching environment but MGT helps bring organization and focus to my efforts, ultimately allowing my lessons to be more effective. MGT provides the optimal balance of child lead exploration of a topic and parental guidance to broaden the student’s knowledge. Not only is it easily adapted to all the small learners in your care, it is adaptable to the changing moods of the day. More. Emily, Montana:
“It provides a fun comprehensive way to teach my son from home.”
Tamika Straw, Oklahoma:
“I started Mother Goose time when my twins were 16 months old. It taught them to sit still for lessons and got them excited about learning. At 18 months they knew the entire alphabet and could count to 10. Now at the age of 2 they can sing their ABC’s, count to 30, know all of their colors & shapes. They have also learned about cars, animals and different holidays. They love to learn and Mother Goose Time made it fun!”
Molly Houx, Colorado:
“Mother Goose Time’s curriculum layouts not only cut my planning time way down, but they give me the confidence that my lessons will be as interesting and captivating as they are educational, fun, and developmental.”
Lavonna Eichelberger, Arkansas:
“I am a young mom (22), and having the guidance from the Teacher Handbook with everything clearly stated and discussion cues listed has been really helpful to me. My son has a severe speech delay and having cues as to what to ask while he is working has made a difference. With the fun themes and lesson planning book, I’ve been able to incorporate fun field trips to extend the learning!”
Jessica Weinrich, Ohio:
“Through Mother Goose my kids have grown to love to learn. They ask every day to do home school. It helps me most by saving me hours of research and preparation [compared to] when I tried to make my own curriculum.”
Jenny Harwood, Georgia:
“[Mother Goose Time] helped give me confidence in teaching my kiddos at home with a curriculum they loved and easy guides for me to follow.”
