As a member of the Experience Early Learning family, I appreciate the trust you place in us to help you provide the children you teach with the first-in-class educational experiences every child deserves. As we all learn more about COVID-19 (the coronavirus) and what it will mean for the coming days, I wanted to reach out personally to let you know how we plan to support you and other child care centers, family childcare providers and homeschooling parents during this uncertain time.
First, our longstanding commitment to quality remains at the core of everything we do. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the preschool curriculum resources you need, every month. If your situation changes and you need to modify the number of children you serve, please contact us at (800) 523-6933 and we will help. For example, we recognize many childcare centers are taking on increased numbers of school-age children due to elementary schools being closed. We are already responding by working on a daily lesson plan modification to help you adapt our preschool curriculum for school-age children. If you would like to learn more about these resources, click here and we will reach out to you as soon as these are available.
Second, I want to ask for your advice. Over our 30-year history, many of our most powerful innovations have come directly from directors, teachers and parents like you. At this moment in time—when our whole world is thinking about what education might mean in a new era—I would like to hear from you about how we can best help. If you have suggestions for how we can support you with greater impact, please take three minutes to tell us what resources you need in the coming days.
Having spoken with many of you, I know you bring your entire selves—your hearts, your minds and your incredible spirits—to the work you do each day. For that, I thank you. I also want to salute the members of the Experience Curriculum team with whom I have the honor to work. These individuals, from our headquarters team in northern Michigan, to our educator support specialists across the United States, to our network of partners around the world, work tirelessly because they believe in you and what you are doing.
I know we will move through this challenge. I also know we will do it as a community of like-minded individuals who know first-hand the power of education to change people’s lives. I look forward to working with you as we move forward, together.
Sincerely,
Chandler Arnold
