What does ★ mean?
★ Starred Lessons: Your Observation Cue

Most days include a starred activity (★). These specific lessons are intentionally highlighted because they act as a built-in observation roadmap designed to spotlight core developmental skills.

Logging an observation during a starred activity connects it straight to a child’s learning profile. This automatically captures critical milestone data — ensuring that over the course of the unit, you’ll have observed every core skill without the extra guesswork.

Track Real Growth Starred lessons link directly to the developmental continuum, helping you easily monitor milestones over time.
What to Record Take a quick pause after a starred activity to note key behaviors (e.g., scribbles, letter-like forms, or fingerprint marks).
Where to Find the Continuum Access the full developmental guide in your physical kit or under Member Resources in Brightwheel.
Example this week

★ Boy Blue

After this Thursday activity, log an observation for each child around writing skills — do they scribble or draw to represent their cozy nap spot, or begin to make letter-like forms?
