Welcome to Practice Week!

A hands-on preview of Experience Curriculum — explore real lessons, get comfortable with Brightwheel, and build confidence before your full launch.

Good to know

What is Practice Week?

Practice Week gives you a chance to try real lessons right now — no waiting for boxes, no full launch required. It’s a safe, simplified environment where you can assign lessons, explore the curriculum, and get your classroom ready with confidence.

This is a condensed preview — just 2 activities per day using materials you already have in your classroom, plus a couple of printables. Your full Experience Curriculum will include more activities each day, all materials delivered to your door, and the complete themed experience.

What are the cue cards?
Reading Pre-Verbal Cues: Your Connection Guide

Babies tell you when they’re ready to play — and when they need a moment — long before they have the words. Each Connect & Communicate activity is a chance to practice reading those cues.

Two printable cue cards are included in this guide to help every caregiver in the room recognize the same signals.

“Let’s Play” cues Wide eyes, reaching out, eye contact, or taking your hand — signs a child is ready to engage.
“Let’s Pause” cues Turning away, exploring alone, or a wrinkled brow — signs it’s best to wait before inviting them in.
Where to find them Both cue cards are in the Cube Cards PDF — print one for every classroom.
Example this week

Who’s in the Meadow

During this Monday activity, watch for a child leaning toward the blanket or making eye contact as you reveal each animal — that’s their cue they’re ready to play along.

LLD 3b · Phonological Awareness
